Monga Sunita Architect

Sunita has her architecture practice set up at House Number 1161 in Sector 43-B. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a cold office building. We work from the ground floor mostly. There are drawing boards set up near the windows to get the best light. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s just a neighbor or a delivery, but that’s the charm of being in Sector 43-B. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The workspace is filled with rolls of paper and half-finished models made of cardboard and wood. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we have a lot of projects going on at once. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just Sunita and a couple of us helping out with the drafts and the site visits. We spend our mornings drinking tea and going over the latest plans. The atmosphere is pretty casual. We don't have a dress code, and we often work late if a deadline is coming up. The walls are covered in sketches that we’ve pinned up over the years. Some are old and yellowed, but we keep them for ideas. It’s a practical way to work. We don’t go in for big marketing pitches or glossy brochures. Most people who come to us have heard about our work from someone else in the sector. We just focus on the drawings and the buildings themselves.
