About Krishan Lal Dham Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
We are up on the third floor of SCO 358-359. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Being on the top floor means we get a decent view of the street below, though mostly we just see the tops of cars and people rushing around the market area. The office itself is full of cabinets stuffed with old project files and rolls of tracing paper that we probably should have sorted out years ago. It’s a bit cramped when more than a few people are in here at once. We usually have the radio on low in the background while we work on the drafting boards or the computers. Sometimes the light coming through the windows is too bright in the afternoon, so we have to mess with the blinds a lot. It’s a practical space. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to bring you water in a fancy glass. You just walk in and see us working. Most of the day is spent dealing with technical drawings or talking to contractors on the phone. It gets a bit dusty with all the paper around, but that is part of the job. We have been here for a good amount of time now, and the neighbors in the other offices know us well. It is just a straightforward place where we draw up plans.
