About Kiran Joshi Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I'm based at H.No.403 in Sector 35-A, where I've been doing architectural work for a good while now. It’s a home office, so it’s pretty relaxed, though it gets hectic when projects are starting up. I spend most of my mornings answering emails and the afternoons doing the actual design work. Sector 35-A is a familiar place for me, and I’ve seen how the buildings here have changed over the years. I don't have a big staff, so when you call, you’re just talking to me. I handle everything from the first sketch to the final technical drawings. It’s a lot of detail work, checking building codes and making sure everything fits the plot of land. I often have to visit sites to see how the masonry is looking or if the windows are being installed right. It’s not a fancy setup, just a computer, a drafting table, and lots of shelves full of binders. I try to be straightforward about costs and how long things will take. Construction always has surprises, so I try to prepare people for that. I enjoy the process of seeing a drawing on paper turn into a real building you can walk through. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of measuring. I'm just here in the sector, doing my job one project at a time. It's a simple way of working, but it keeps the projects moving and the clients informed.
