About Kiran Bala Sachdeva Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I run my architecture practice from my home at H.No.2812/1 in Sector-47-C. It’s a small, personal operation where I handle all the design work myself. My office is basically a room filled with books, a big monitor, and piles of papers. I’ve been in Sector-47-C for a long time, so I know the layout of the area and what the local building rules are like. Most of my work involves residential houses, helping people turn their ideas into actual blueprints. I spend hours looking at measurements and trying to fit everything into the available space. It’s not always easy, especially with some of the smaller plots. I do a lot of sketching before I even touch the computer. People stop by to discuss their plans, and we usually just sit in the living area with some tea. I don't have a staff, so I do all the site visits myself too. It’s important to see how the work is being done on the ground. Sometimes the contractors have questions, and it’s better to be there in person to explain the drawings. I try to keep my work honest and simple. I’m not interested in making things look fancy just for the sake of it. I just want the buildings to be solid and useful for the families living in them. It’s a lot of work, but I like it. I plan to stay in this sector and keep helping my neighbors with their homes.
