About Khera Gagan Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
The stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, but you get used to them after a few trips. Being in Sector 35-C means there is always a lot going on right outside the SCO. We’ve been at 491-492 for a good stretch of time now. Inside, things are mostly organized, though there’s usually a stack of drawings on the main table that needs sorting out. Gagan and the rest of us spend most of our mornings just trying to get through the messages that came in since the day before. The floor gets a lot of sun, which is great in the winter but means we have to keep the blinds down quite a bit when the summer heat kicks in. There’s a small pantry area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon. It’s a practical space. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls, just some old project photos and a calendar that’s usually a month behind. People come in and out all day, mostly locals who have questions about their own building ideas. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s quiet enough on the second floor that we can hear the birds on the roof sometimes. Most days end with us making a list of what needs to happen the next morning. It’s just a normal office where we spend our time on sketches and site notes.
