Khanna Manmohan Associates

Our place is on the second floor of SCO 57 in Sector 26. Khanna Manmohan Associates has been here for a good while, and the office has that smell of old paper and ink that you only get in places where people actually work. There are about four of us most days, sitting around the main table talking through projects. We don't really go for the polished look. The chairs don't match and the filing cabinets are definitely seen better days, but they hold everything we need. Sector 26 is a lively area, so there is always a good place to grab lunch nearby, which is a plus. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors or out on site checking how things are going. It’s not just sitting at a desk all day. Sometimes we have to go back and forth on a design ten times before it feels right. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just draw buildings and try to make sure they won't fall down or leak when it rains. It is a practical job and we treat it that way. If someone comes in with a question, we just sit down and look at the drawings together. No big presentations, just some pencils and a lot of talking until we figure it out. It might look like chaos to an outsider, but we know exactly where every file and drawing is located.
