Kaur Gurveen Architect

Kaur Gurveen Architect is based at House No. 1160 in Sector 8C. I've been here for a long time now. Sector 8C is one of those places that feels very established and steady. My office is just a part of the house that I’ve converted so I can work on my architecture projects. It’s got a big window that lets in a lot of light, which is important when you're looking at tiny lines on a floor plan all day. The street outside is usually quiet except for the occasional delivery truck or neighbors heading out to work. I like the independence of working from 1160. There isn't a commute to worry about, so I can start as early as I want. The walls are covered with sketches and notes from over the years. I tend to keep everything I’ve ever worked on, so the cabinets are getting a bit full. Sector 8C is a good location because it’s central enough to get anywhere but far enough from the main roads to be calm. Visitors usually find the house without any trouble. We just sit in the front room and go over whatever they need. It’s a very informal way of doing things but it makes people feel comfortable. I’ve lived in this area long enough to know where the best tea is and which shops have the supplies I need. House 1160 has a front gate that squeaks every time someone opens it, which is how I know the mail has arrived.
