Kapil Dhruv Architect

I operate out of House No.719 in Sector-8-B. Kapil Dhruv Architect is basically me and a couple of assistants working on drawing boards. The house has been converted slightly to make room for our equipment and all the files we have collected over the years. Sector-8-B is a pretty established area, so we know most of the people living on this block. Our office doesn't have a big sign out front or anything. You just walk up to number 719 and you will hear the sound of us talking about dimensions or building codes. The windows stay open most of the year to let in some air, and you can hear the birds in the garden outside. I have a big collection of architecture books that are mostly used as paperweights now. Most of our work is done on the computer, but I still like to sketch things out by hand first. It feels more real that way. We spend a lot of time going back and forth with the local authorities to get plans approved. It is a slow process and can be quite frustrating sometimes. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which we drink while we wait for blueprints to print out. It is a quiet, steady kind of work life. We are just a local office trying to make sure the houses around here are built right and look decent.
