About Kanika Bansal Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
H.No.69 in Sector-27 A is where I run my architecture practice. It is not a huge firm, just me mostly, working on various house plans and renovation ideas. Since I have lived in this sector for a bit, I am used to how the houses are built around here. Usually, my desk is covered in tracing paper and pens. Even though I spend a lot of time on the computer doing CAD work, I still like sketching things out by hand because it feels more real. Neighbors often see people coming in and out for meetings since the office is right in my home. Being in a quiet spot helps when I need to concentrate on structural details or plumbing layouts. Most people come to me when they want to add a room or redo their kitchen. I don't do anything too flashy. Looking at a space and trying to make it work better for the family is what I do. It can be a bit slow going when the weather is bad or materials are late, but that's just how construction works. Being honest about what can actually be done with a certain budget is important to me. A lot of my day involves back and forth with the builders. Sometimes things go smooth, and sometimes they don't. Staying on top of the paperwork and the drawings takes up the rest of the time. It is a decent way to make a living and I really like seeing things get built.
