Jaiprakash Associates Ltd(Jaypee Group) Cement Division

We are over in Kharar, tucked away inside Shivalik City. Specifically, we are in Shivalik Enclave Phase 2, unit 1021. This is the cement division office for the Jaypee Group under Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. Being in the Mohali district, we see a lot of development and new buildings happening all around us. The office is a very basic unit where we manage the local distribution and all the supply chains. It gets a bit dusty with all the construction work happening nearby, but that is just a part of life in this area. We have a small team sitting in a room that is mostly filled with maps and heavy ledgers. Most of our time goes into talking with truck drivers and site managers on the phone. It is not the kind of place where you will find fancy furniture or expensive art on the walls. It is a working office. We have our computers and our printers, and that is about all there is to it. Some days the phones simply do not stop ringing, and other days we are just catching up on old filing. We try to keep the kettle ready because the mornings tend to start pretty early for us. There is a lot of checking and re-checking of numbers to make sure nothing gets missed. We are not trying to impress anyone with the physical space. We just want to get the job done.
