Jaihind Hatcheries Private Limited is based over at H No. 1046, Sec-32. Running a hatchery means we don't really have many days off or slow mornings. The birds don’t care if it’s a weekend or a public holiday, so someone is always here. Every morning starts with checking the incubators and making sure the temperature is just right. It’s a lot of physical work and my boots are usually covered in dust by noon. Sector-32 is a busy part of town, so there is always some traffic noise near our main gate. We have a small office space inside the building where we keep all the records and files. It’s mostly just metal shelves full of folders and an old computer that takes a while to start up. The air always smells a bit like feed and straw, which is just part of the job. We deal with a lot of local guys who drop by in their trucks at odd hours. Sometimes we sit on a wooden bench outside to have our tea and watch the birds. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years. The building itself is quite plain, just bricks and concrete. We focus more on the daily tasks than on how the office looks. It gets pretty loud when the supply trucks arrive, but we’re used to it. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the routine keeps us going.
