Jagdumba Building

If you go down to Jawaher Market, you will find us at number 121. Jagdumba Building is a small operation, mostly run by a couple of us who have lived here forever. The market is always crowded, so there is a lot of noise and people moving about right outside our door. We don't have a big fancy office with carpets. It’s mostly just a counter, some old chairs, and a lot of ledgers where we write everything down. We handle a bit of everything when it comes to local building needs. Sometimes someone needs a bit of advice on a repair, and other times they are looking for a bigger project. We aren't the type to use big words or try to sell you something you don't need. Usually, we are just sitting here with a newspaper or talking to one of the neighbors who stopped by. It’s a practical place for practical people. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always something else to do. Being in Jawaher Market means we see a lot of life every day. We know most of the shopkeepers around us. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It’s not a complicated business. We just take things one day at a time and try to help out where we can. Most of the time, the simple way is the best way to get things finished.
