Being in Sector 22, specifically Bhagat Singh Market, means we are right in the thick of things. This market in Bazwara is always crowded, and SCO 102 is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a small space but we make it work. Usually, there is a pile of bicycle or scooter parts near the entrance. The morning starts with clearing the sidewalk so people can walk past without tripping. We have a lot of regulars who stop by just to chat for a minute while we work. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the inventory, but we have a system for where everything goes. Sometimes it takes a minute to dig out a specific bolt or a gasket from the bins. We get a lot of dust from the main road, so we are constantly wiping things down. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the nearby stalls. The afternoon slump hits around three, but then it picks up again when people finish work. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a regular routine, day in and day out. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving. There isn't much room for sitting around, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
