H & A Store

Our shop, H & A Store, is over at 14 Centra Mall on the 132 Ring Road. Being in Industrial Area Phase I makes it a bit different from the traditional old market shops you see downtown. It’s a more modern building with actual air conditioning, but we still try to keep things grounded and simple. The mall can be a bit quiet during the weekdays, which gives us plenty of time to catch up on paperwork, cleaning the glass, and organizing our stock. Then on the weekends, it really picks up and we’re a lot busier with families coming through. The space itself is clean and has good lighting, which is a nice change for us. We’re right on the 132 Ring Road, so there’s always a lot of traffic and heavy trucks passing by outside at all hours. Sometimes the hum of the city is all you hear when you stand near the entrance. We don’t have a massive team of employees, just a few of us who show up every morning to unlock the doors and get things ready. We spend a lot of time organizing the shelves and making sure everything is where it should be for the next person who walks in. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We don’t go in for big sales pitches or any of that aggressive marketing. If someone needs something, we help them find it, and if they’re just looking around to pass the time, we let them be. It’s a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.
