If you go to Sector 38 and look for Shop Number 16, that’s us. Gulati Auto Agencies has been in this same spot for as long as I can remember. We sell parts for cars and bikes, mostly. The shelves are packed from the floor all the way to the ceiling. If you ask for something specific, I usually know exactly which pile it’s buried under. It looks like a mess to most people, but there is a system to it. We get a lot of mechanics coming in early in the morning to grab what they need for the day's work. Then it’s a mix of locals who are trying to fix their own vehicles in their driveways. We see a lot of grease and oil on the counter by the end of the day. Sector 38 is a busy area with a lot of shops, so there is always someone walking by or sticking their head in to ask a question. We don't do much fancy talk here. If a part works, it works. If we don't have it, we can usually get it by tomorrow. It’s a straightforward business. Sometimes we sit out front on plastic chairs when things are slow and just watch the cars go by. It’s a good way to spend the afternoon and we’ve made a lot of friends just by sitting there.
