Eye Hospital

We are over here at 140 Sector 35 A. The building is easy to spot once you get into this part of the sector. Most days start pretty early because we have to get everything ready before the first people show up. It’s usually quiet in the mornings, but then the street gets a bit busier later on. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The chairs in the waiting area are a bit old but they do the job just fine. We spend most of our time looking at charts and talking to folks about how they’re seeing things. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular hospital setup with white walls and that specific smell of cleaning supplies. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird humming noise, but we’re used to it by now. People from around the neighborhood stop by, some just to ask directions and others because they’ve got something bothering their eyes. We keep a stack of old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones these days. The light in the hallway is a bit bright, but that’s how it goes in a place like this. We try to keep things moving so nobody sits around too long. It’s a lot of routine stuff, checking lenses and making sure the equipment is plugged in right. We’re just here doing the work every day, making sure the door is unlocked by eight.
