We are located at 162 Industrial Area Phase I. Elgitread (India) Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for a long while. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always a truck or a van blocking the driveway it seems. Inside, it’s mostly just industrial space. We deal with tread and rubber products so the air always has that specific scent to it. You get used to it after ten minutes. The building itself has seen better days, maybe a fresh coat of paint would help, but we’re more worried about the work inside. We have a small office area where we handle the paperwork but most of the action happens on the floor. It’s a lot of physical work and the machines require constant attention. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand rules, we just have a small team that knows the routine. Some of the guys have been here since the beginning. We eat lunch together in the back and talk about the cricket scores. It’s a steady job and we like being in Phase I because everything we need is close by. People stop by to ask about tires or repairs and we tell them what we can do. We don't use big words or try to sell anyone something they don't need.
