We’ve been doing construction work in this part of Punjab for a good while now. Most of our mornings start early with loading up the supplies. You get used to the noise of the machines after a few years. It's not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of sweat and heavy lifting involved every single day. We don't spend much time sitting at desks. Usually, we are out on a plot of land somewhere, checking the foundation or the brickwork. Krishna Nagar is a nice area, and we like being part of the community here. If a neighbor needs something built, they usually just drop by. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the actual labor. Sometimes things go slow when the supply trucks are late, but that’s just how it is in this trade. We keep the tools sharp and the site as clean as possible. It’s honest work.
