About Davinder Lal Nar Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I’ve been working out of my office at 241, Sector 51 A for quite some time now. It’s a straightforward setup. I don’t believe in having a lot of bells and whistles. Most of my day is spent at the drafting table or out at a construction site checking on progress. Architecture is a lot of paperwork and even more talking to people to make sure everyone is on the same page. Sector 51 A is a nice area, and I’ve seen it grow quite a bit since I first moved in. My workspace is filled with old files, rolls of tracing paper, and a lot of coffee cups. It’s not the most organized place, but I can find what I need. I handle most things myself, from the initial sketches to the final checks. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I prefer knowing every detail of a project. Sometimes the local regulations can be a bit of a headache, and I spend more time at the municipal office than I’d like. But that’s all part of making sure a building is done right. I don’t do much advertising; most people just hear about me from someone else in the sector. I like keeping it local and low-key. It allows me to focus on the work itself without too many distractions. There is usually some radio music playing in the background while I draw.
