Club Laptop

Club Laptop is situated in Mohali, within the Prakash Society at S.C.F. 7. It’s a nice enough area, and being in an S.C.F. unit means we have a decent shop front where people can see us. We spend our days surrounded by laptops in various states of being taken apart or put back together. It’s a hands-on kind of place, and there’s usually a bit of a mess with screws and tools laying around on the workbenches. We don’t mind it, though, because it shows we’re actually doing something. Most of the people who come in are locals from Mohali who have something wrong with their screens or keyboards. We talk to them like neighbors because, well, we are neighbors. The shop isn't part of some big chain; it’s just our own little spot where we know where everything is. We take breaks when we can, often standing outside to watch the cars go by and get some fresh air. The Prakash Society is a familiar place to us, and we’ve gotten to know the regulars who pass by every day. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. We try to keep things honest and tell people exactly what’s wrong without any extra fluff. It’s a basic, functional workshop where we put in the hours and try to keep everyone’s laptops running.
