City Hospital Cureage

Our place is at Shop No-702, right near the Shiv Mandir in the Main Market of Burail. Being in Sector 45a of Chandigarh, we are right in the middle of all the market noise and activity. You can hear the temple bells from our front door sometimes. It is not a massive hospital like the ones in the bigger sectors, but we have what we need. The floor is that grey stone that stays cool even when it is boiling outside. We have a few benches for people to wait on, and they are usually full of people from the market or the nearby houses. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of patients at once, but we just make it work. The staff is used to the bustle. We have a small room in the back for supplies, and it is always a bit of a mess no matter how much we tidy it up. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which gives everyone a few seconds of silence. We deal with all sorts of small health issues and keep the records in big blue binders on the shelf. It’s a practical kind of place, nothing too fancy. People know they can just walk in from the market and find someone to help them out. We just do our daily rounds and try to keep everyone in the neighborhood healthy.
