Birth and Beyond

We are situated at 228 Sector 18A in Chandigarh. It’s a quiet enough street, which is nice for what we do here. The building is a regular house that we've adapted for our needs. We have a few rooms set up for meetings and consultations. It’s not meant to feel like a cold office or a hospital; we prefer the chairs to be comfortable and the lighting to be a bit softer. There is a small garden area out front that we try to keep neat, though the weeds sometimes get ahead of us in the summer. Most of the time, it’s just a couple of us here, keeping things running and answering the phone when it rings. We don’t use a lot of fancy equipment or have a big flashy sign out front. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. We spend a lot of time talking and listening, which is the main part of the day. Chandigarh is a planned city, but life can be messy, and we see a bit of that every day. We just try to be a steady presence in the sector. It’s a basic setup, really, with a focus on just being available when people need to drop by. Birth and Beyond is just our way of helping out the local community in our own small way.
