Running Cane Creations out of 13 A in Sector 11 has its ups and downs. The Mahmedabad Highway Road is right there, so you hear the trucks going by all day long. It gets a bit dusty because of all that traffic, but you get used to it after a month or two. Being right opposite Mb Patel Farm is helpful because it's a landmark everyone knows. If I tell someone where we are, they just look for the farm and then see our place. We spend a lot of time working with our hands here. The floor is usually covered in scraps and bits of material, but that’s just how a workshop looks when people are actually doing things. My hands are usually a bit rough by the end of the week, but that is part of the job I suppose. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just the space where we build stuff and the yard where we keep the raw materials. Sometimes the sun hits the roof and it gets pretty warm inside, so we keep the fans running constantly. It’s a local operation, and most of the folks who come by are from nearby. We just take things one day at a time and try to finish what we started. It’s nothing spectacular, just a small business trying to keep moving along the highway through the heat and the dust.
