Bittu Meat Shop

Being out here near the airport means you hear planes all day. Sector 45 is busy, and we are right at 1779/2. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but the regulars don't mind. We get up early to get the stock in. It’s heavy work, honestly. The knives need sharpening every single day or you can't get through the tasks. We have a small counter and some stools for people waiting. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun hitting the front. We just turn the fan up and keep going. Most people want the same cuts every week. We know who wants what without asking sometimes. The airport traffic makes the road noisy, but we are used to it now. It’s just a meat shop, nothing special to look at. We spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the shift. Water and soap are our best friends here. My hands are always tired by Sunday. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just find us by the smell or the sign out front. It’s been here a long time, near the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel area. We keep the scales honest and the meat fresh. Sometimes we run out of mutton early and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how the day goes. We stay open until the last bit is sold or it gets too late. Then we head home and rest for a few hours before starting again.
