Bhupinder Provision Store

Working at the Grain Market in Sector 7 means the day starts before most people are even awake. Bhupinder Provision Store is located at booth 62 and we have been here for a long time. The market is a very loud and dusty place to work. You are constantly hearing the sound of trucks reversing and workers shouting to each other about the daily prices. My clothes and hands are usually covered in a fine layer of dust from handling the large sacks of flour, rice, and pulses. It is heavy work and my back usually aches by the time we close up for the evening. I took over this spot from my father and I have just kept things running the way he did. The shelves are packed tight with all the basics that a kitchen needs. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights like the big supermarkets. People come here because they know us and they have been buying their groceries from us for years. Sometimes a delivery truck is late and we run out of something important, which makes the customers a bit grumpy. That is just part of the trade. In the evenings, I usually sit on a wooden stool outside the booth and have a cup of tea. It is a good time to rest and talk to the other shop owners.
