Archies Gallery is located at 1137 in the Gide Estate area of Makarpura, Sector 22. It’s an interesting place to have a shop because Makarpura is known for all the industrial stuff. But even in a place with factories and warehouses, people still need cards and gifts. We have been here for a good amount of time. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from small trinkets to big posters. It can get a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the shelves. It’s not a high-pressure environment. People usually come in when they are looking for something specific for a birthday or a holiday. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. The light in the shop is a bit dim, but it makes it feel cozy. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory. Working in Gide Estate means we see a lot of people who work in the nearby plants coming in during their lunch breaks. It’s a practical location. We don’t do anything fancy, just sell what’s on the shelves and talk to the customers. It’s a steady way to spend the day. The streetlights come on around six, and that's usually when we start thinking about locking up for the night and heading home ourselves. It’s a quiet life.
