Started the shop in Sector 17 a long time back. We keep things simple here at Sco-18. It's mostly cameras and lenses, though we do a lot of printing work for people too. People come in with their old files or rolls of film sometimes, and we try to get them sorted out. It’s not a huge place, but we’ve got enough space to keep the gear dry and safe. My dad used to run things differently, but now we just try to keep up with the digital stuff as much as possible. Sometimes the machines act up, but that's part of the job. We aren't really into big advertisements. Most people just walk in because they see the sign while walking through the sector. It gets busy on weekends when families are out. We spend a lot of time just cleaning lenses or explaining how a specific flash works. It’s a quiet living. The address is Sco-18, easy to find if you know the area. We have a few guys working here who know their way around a darkroom and a computer. We don't have fancy coffee or anything, just some chairs if you have to wait for your prints. Dealing with light and shadows is what we do all day. It’s funny how much things have changed since everything went onto phones, but people still want a real photo to hold. We just keep doing what we know.
