This place is located at No 56 G.N. Chetty Road in T.Nagar. If you know the area, you know it gets incredibly crowded with traffic and shoppers. Being right in the middle of it means we stay pretty busy. We’ve got a lot of staff running around the different departments. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the building inside out. It’s an old-school kind of setup in some ways, but we have what’s needed to take care of patients. The air conditioning is usually blasting because the heat outside can get quite bad. Sometimes the elevators take a minute, so most of us just use the stairs to get between floors faster. We handle a lot of walk-ins since T.Nagar is such a hub. It’s a lot of triage and keeping records straight. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place where people get treated. There’s no big mystery to it. We have the doctors, the medicine, and the beds. People come in, they get seen, and we help them through whatever is going on. It’s tiring work, especially on the night shifts when things feel a bit different under the fluorescent lights. We try to be helpful when people ask questions, even if we are in the middle of five other things. It’s just how things work on G.N. Chetty Road. We just keep our heads down and get the job done daily.
