Apollo Clinic

You’ll find us on Madhya Marg in Sector 9C, right over in Chandigarh. We are pretty close to the petrol pump, so that’s usually how people find their way to Apollo Clinic. The traffic on this road is something else, especially during the morning rush. I usually hear the cars honking all day long while I’m sitting at the front desk. The clinic is spread across SCO 170-171. It’s a decent sized space, but it fills up fast on Monday mornings. We have a routine for opening up—lights on, floor swept, and the water dispenser filled. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The air conditioning is a lifesaver in the summer months because Chandigarh gets really hot. We keep the windows shut to block out the noise from Madhya Marg. Most of our time is spent looking at charts or helping people find which room they need to go to. There’s a small tea stall nearby that we usually order from when things get a bit slow. We don’t have any big speeches or fancy goals, we just show up and open the doors. It’s a practical place for people in the city. Some days are longer than others, especially when the waiting room stays full until late evening. We just take it one person at a time until the shift ends.
