Anurag Jewellers

We are located at Sco - 847 in the Nac Manimajra Market area. If you know this part of Manimajra, you know it gets pretty crowded, especially on the weekends. Our shop, Anurag Jewellers, is right near the Housing Board. We open up every morning around ten. The first thing we do is wipe down the glass cases because the dust from the street always finds a way in. It’s a small place, but it’s enough for what we do. We have some old chairs for customers who want to sit while we show them different designs. My cousin usually helps me out during the busy hours. We drink a lot of tea from the guy who has a stall two doors down. Sometimes we just sit and watch the people walking by. You see all sorts of folks in this market. Some are just looking, others are looking for a gift for a wedding. We do some repairs too, mostly small things like fixing a clasp or cleaning a ring that’s gotten dull. The lighting in the shop is a bit old, but it’s bright enough. In the evenings, the market gets even louder with all the street food sellers nearby. We usually pack up and head out by eight or nine. It’s a long day, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years. We don't have a big sign, just the usual one. It’s a simple life here in the market. Every day is mostly the same, but we like the people.
