Working out of 2350 in Sector-23-C has its own rhythm. This part of the city is familiar to me, and I’ve been doing this for a long time. My day usually starts with checking emails and then moving over to the drafting table. I still like to draw things out by hand sometimes before I move them to the computer. It feels more real that way, I think. People come to me when they are planning to build a home or maybe a small shop. We sit down and talk about what they want, and I try to tell them what will actually work and what might be a bit too much. I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go in architecture, but the basics of a good structure don’t change. Sector-23-C is a solid place to be based. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some shelves full of binders and a few samples of tiles or wood lying around. It’s a practical space for practical work. I don’t believe in making things more complicated than they need to be. If a wall shouldn’t be there, I’ll say so. It’s about being honest with the space you have. Most of my day is spent making sure the numbers add up and the lines are straight. It's steady work and it keeps me busy enough most days of the week when things are moving along.
