About Amanjeet Kaur Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I set up my practice here in Sector 40-B a while back. The office is at House Number 1630/1, and it’s mostly just where I spend my time working on drawings and talking to people about their building ideas. Being an architect involves a lot more sitting at a desk than people think, but I also try to get out to the sites whenever things are actually being built. It’s nice being tucked away in this part of the city because it’s a bit quieter than the main roads. I handle a lot of the usual stuff you’d expect, like floor plans and getting the paperwork ready for construction. Sometimes the process is a bit slow with all the details that need sorting out, but I just take it one step at a time. I’ve always liked how buildings come together, so doing this for a living makes sense to me. My workspace is pretty simple, usually covered in papers and some pens that I keep losing under stacks of blueprints. Neighbors often stop by or I see them when I’m out getting a coffee nearby. It’s a straightforward setup. I don’t have a big staff or anything, so when someone calls or comes by, they’re usually dealing directly with me. I try to keep things clear so there isn't any confusion about what we are doing on a project.
