Sanskar School

Sanskar School is right here in Shivpuri. It has been around for a long time and most people in the neighborhood know us well. We aren't a big, fancy institution with air conditioning or the latest computers in every room. We have solid walls, fans that hum in the heat, and plenty of desks for the kids. The morning assembly is a big deal for us. All the students stand out in the yard and we start the day together. Shivpuri gets very hot in the summer, so we make sure there is always plenty of cool water for everyone. The teachers here have a lot of experience and they know how to handle everything from a scraped knee to a difficult math problem. We don't spend money on big advertisements. We just rely on the fact that we've been here for years and people know what to expect from us. The school building has different sections for the younger kids and the older ones. When it's time for recess, the whole street can hear the sound of children playing and shouting. It’s a good, lively sound. We just focus on the basic things like reading, writing, and being respectful. There isn't any complicated philosophy behind it. We just show up every morning, ring the bell, and get to work teaching the children of Shivpuri as best as we can.
