Flora Mint

Our shop is on Mahajan Street which is near the Bisauli Gate. If you walk down the street you can usually smell us before you see us. We work with mint and oils so the scent is very strong and it clings to your clothes all day. It is a narrow street and it gets very crowded with people and carts during the market hours. We have a small setup where we process the leaves and extract what we need. It is a traditional way of doing things that hasn't changed much over the years. The equipment is old and heavy and it takes a bit of muscle to keep it all running right. We get our supplies from the local growers who bring in bags of fresh herbs on the back of their bikes. We spend a lot of time sorting through the leaves to make sure they are good enough. Sometimes the heat in the shop gets to be too much and we have to step out into the street for a bit of a breeze. It is a family-run kind of thing and we all have our specific jobs to do. We do not do a lot of advertising because people just know to come to Mahajan Street when they need mint products. The floor is made of stone and it stays cool even when the sun is beating down on the roof.
