She A Movement Foundation is located at BP 645 in the Kailashpuri area. Mughal Sarai is a place that everyone knows for the railway, but our little spot is a bit further into the neighborhood. It’s a regular building, nothing that stands out too much from the street. We’ve been based here for a bit now, working out of these rooms. The neighborhood is usually full of life with kids playing and people heading to work. We try to keep things simple inside. It’s mostly just a place to gather and talk about what needs to be done. The walls are a bit plain, but we don't really mind that. We focus more on the conversations we have with the women who come by. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. Mughal Sarai can be a busy place, but Kailashpuri feels a bit more like a community. People know each other here. We aren't trying to be some big fancy organization. We are just a group of people in a house trying to make things a little better for the folks around us. Sometimes we sit on the floor if we run out of chairs. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. A couple of old tables and some notebooks are what we use mostly. It's a humble setup, but it works for us. We often share a meal together in the back room when the day is done.
