Mahendra Hardware

Our hardware shop is situated at Padao Chauraha in Jalilpur. It is very easy to find because we are right near the Union Bank of India. Being at a crossroads like Padao Chauraha means there is always people moving around and plenty of noise from the bikes and carts. Mahendra Hardware is a place where we keep a lot of different things packed into small spaces. We have boxes of screws, tools, and all sorts of bits and pieces stacked up to the ceiling. It can be hard to find things sometimes if you don't know exactly where we put them last. The counter is usually covered in papers or samples that customers have brought in to show us what they need. We spend a lot of our day just climbing ladders or digging through bins to find a specific size of bolt. It’s a dusty kind of job and the floor never stays clean for long with all the foot traffic. We see a lot of the same people from around Jalilpur coming in for their daily supplies. When the bank is busy, we get even more people stopping by to look at the tools while they wait. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the stuff people need for their homes or work. It's a busy little spot and we just keep it going every day.
