Btc College Sudama Devi Mahila Mahavidyalya Chandauli

Down here in Chandauli, specifically in the Dhara and Dharaon area, we run Btc College Sudama Devi Mahila Mahavidyalya. It is a place for women to come and study. Things are a bit slower here compared to the big cities, but we stay busy. The students mostly come from the surrounding villages. You will see them walking or coming on cycles in the morning. We have a simple building, nothing too flashy. We focus on the teaching part. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we have some backup for that. The grounds have some trees where the girls sit during their lunch breaks. We handle all the admissions and the exam forms right here in the office. It’s a lot of manual work sometimes. We know most of the families who send their daughters here. It’s a community feel. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and do our jobs. The staff is mostly local too. We try to keep the classrooms clean and the library stocked with the books required for the courses. Chandauli is a quiet place, and our college fits right into that. It’s about giving these young women a place to learn without having to travel too far from home. We just keep things moving along day by day. Sometimes we host small gatherings for the parents to talk. It is very informal. We sit in the main hall and drink tea while we discuss the upcoming semester.
