Shree Hori Suppliers

Down in Vill- Natun Bazar, things are always moving. Shree Hori Suppliers is tucked right in there near the Postp.S.- Singur area. If you know Hooghly, you know how humid it can get. We spend most of our time wiping sweat and moving crates or bags around. The market, or Natun Bazar as we call it, is the heart of everything here. You can hear the vegetable sellers and the people arguing over prices from our front door. It’s a lively place to work. We have been in this spot for a while, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it stays dry inside and that is what matters for the supplies. We don't do much advertising. People just see the sign for Shree Hori Suppliers when they are walking to the post office or the station. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know we might be busy with a delivery, so they just wait a bit or help themselves to a seat on a wooden bench we keep out front. We aren't big on formalities. Just tell us what you need and we will see if we have it in the back. The days are long, especially during the monsoon when we have to keep everything covered up tight. But we like the routine and the familiar faces that pass by every single day. It keeps us going even when the work is heavy.
