K. S. Ultrabricks & Concreat Works

At K. S. Ultrabricks & Concreat Works, we are located in Radhanagar, which is over in Pandua in the Hooghly district. It’s a bit of a drive out here but the space is good for what we do. We handle a lot of concrete and bricks, so there is always a bit of a mess with sand and water around the yard. It's a loud place when the machines are running. We started out small and just kept at it over the years. The ground in Hooghly is good for this kind of thing. We spend most of our time out in the yard rather than sitting in the office. It's more of a hands-on type of business. My nephew helps me with the accounts when he has time, but mostly it’s just about getting the product ready. The weather is the biggest thing we have to watch. When it’s too humid, the concrete takes its own time to set. We don't rush it. People around Pandua know us as the place near Radhanagar. We try to keep a decent stock so nobody has to wait too long. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise. The neighbors don't seem to mind the noise too much, which is good. It’s just a regular yard with people working hard to get things done. We have a few old trucks that we use for the local deliveries. They aren't much to look at but they get the job done.
