Ambika Cement Depot

Ambika Cement Depot is located in the Mehsana district, right along the Lanva Highway. If you are looking for us, we are quite near the Vishwa Hotel and not too far from the post office in Patan. Our main job here is handling bags of cement. It is very physical work because those bags are heavy and they need to be moved from the delivery trucks into our storage area and then onto the customers' vehicles. The depot gets very dusty, and there is always a thin layer of gray powder on everything, including our clothes and the small desk we use for paperwork. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. The highway is always busy with traffic, so there’s a lot of noise throughout the day. We don’t do any advertising or have a website. People just know we are here because of our location on the main road. Sometimes the supply from the factories is a bit slow, but we do what we can to keep enough stock for the local builders. It’s a hot and tiring job, especially during the summer months when the sun beats down on the yard. We just keep our heads down and keep moving the bags. It’s not a complicated business, but it’s what we know how to do.
