Being out here in Kuriya Damodarpur is different than working in a city center. Our place is near National Highway Number 28, which means we hear the trucks rumbling by at all hours of the day and night. It’s a good spot for Sristi Syndicate Infra Private Limited because the road access is right there. We spend a lot of time dealing with the logistics of moving materials and managing the site workers who come in from Chakiya. The police station is close by, and that’s a landmark we always use when giving people directions. The office is pretty simple, nothing to brag about, just a place to keep the ledgers and handle the payroll. It gets hot in the summer, and the fan doesn't always do much, but we get the work done regardless. Most of the time we are out on the sites anyway. When we are here, it’s mostly about answering the phone and trying to organize the next week of labor. You get used to the noise from the highway after a few days. It just becomes background sound. We’ve been operating from this location for a while, and the people around here know us. It’s a straightforward business and we try to keep things honest and clear with everyone who stops by to discuss a job or look for work. There is always a bit of mud on the floor from boots, but that is expected.
