You can find our yard near Bamhni Bazar in Janjgir. We are right in the village, which makes it easy for the local workers to walk to the site. Even though the name says Pvt. Ltd., it’s really just a group of us running things on the ground here in Champa district. We use fly ash to make the blocks. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around all day long. The trucks come in through the main bazaar area, which can get pretty crowded on market days. We have to time our deliveries so we don't get stuck in the traffic. Inside the yard, it’s all about the mixing and the pressing. We have a couple of machines that do the heavy work, but we still have to stack everything by hand. The dust is a constant companion, no matter how much we sweep. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most of our customers are folks from nearby who are building a shop or a house. We keep our prices as fair as we can because we know everyone around here. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a muddy mess, and we have to slow down. But usually, we are out there from six in the morning getting the first batch started. It is just the way we live.
