Government Primary School Aser

Up here in the Chamoli district, Government Primary School Aser sits in a spot that’s quite a walk for some. We are located in the Narayanbagar Block, not too far from Aalkot. The air is usually a bit cold in the mornings, and you can see the mist hanging over the village before the sun fully comes up. The school building is pretty basic, just a few rooms made of stone and concrete that keep the wind out. Since it’s a primary school, the kids are all quite young and come from the nearby houses around the village. They carry their bags up the paths, sometimes stopping to play before they get to the door. We don’t have much in the way of fancy supplies, mostly just the essentials like blackboards and some floor mats for when the benches are full. The teachers here often live in the same area or travel in from the next village over. It’s a quiet life in this part of Chamoli, away from the big city noise. We spend a lot of time just focusing on the basics of reading and writing. Sometimes a stray dog wanders into the yard, or the mountain weather makes it hard to get things started on time. It’s an honest kind of place where everyone knows each other’s families. We don’t have a big gate or anything, just the open space where the kids run around during their breaks.
