Samoga Constructions (Opc) Private Limited

Samoga Constructions is based at House No 209 in Village Jusab. We are way up in the Salooni Tehsil of Chamba district. It’s a beautiful area but tough for building things because of the steep slopes and the weather. This is a one-person company mostly, run out of my home near Manjeer. I take on local building jobs, mostly helping folks in Jusab and the surrounding villages with their homes. We don't have a big office or a fleet of trucks. Usually, it's just me and a few guys from the village working with shovels and pickaxes. We do a lot of foundation work and retaining walls, which are really important in Chamba because of the landslides during the rainy season. It’s hard, sweaty work and my hands are always covered in dust or mud. I don't have a marketing plan or anything fancy. If someone needs a room added for a growing family, they walk over to my house and we talk about it. We use the materials we can get locally to keep the costs down for everyone. Sometimes the roads get blocked and we can't get supplies for weeks, so we just have to be patient. It’s a quiet life and the work is meaningful because you’re helping your neighbors stay safe and dry. We just take it one brick at a time and hope the weather stays clear for the day.
