Our office is in a place called Lah Lahri, which is in the Bhatiyat area of Chamba. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't used to the hills. We are listed under Budhi Singh’s name at house number 63. Iravati Infrastructure is a small outfit. We focus on the infrastructure needs around this part of Himachal Pradesh. Chamba is a rugged place, so the work we do is often quite challenging. We deal with the terrain every day. It’s not like building on flat ground. You have to think about the slopes and the rocks. We spend a lot of time on site. The office in Lah Lahri is where we do the planning and the boring stuff like taxes and permits. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a local team trying to get things built right. Sometimes the mountain roads make it hard to get equipment in on time. We’ve learned to be patient. We don’t have a fancy mission statement. We just want to finish the work we started so we can move on to the next one. It’s a quiet life here but the work is loud and heavy. We are practical people. We don’t use a lot of flowery language. If you need to find us, we are out in Bhatiyat, likely near a construction site. We just keep working through the seasons.
