Dalhousie Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is called the Dalhousie Welfare Foundation and you can find us at Om Niwas on Raj Mahal Road. Hans Raj Thakur is the one who looks after the place. Dalhousie is a beautiful town, but like anywhere else, it has its own set of problems that need fixing. We decided to use this space at Om Niwas to organize some local help for the people living here. It is not a corporate office. It feels more like a home because it's part of one. We have a few rooms where we keep everything organized. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when people come by to talk, but we don't mind the company. The view from Raj Mahal Road is nice, but we spend most of our time looking at paperwork or planning our next local project. We aren't a big international group. We are just a few locals who want to see Dalhousie do well. We don't use big words or have complicated missions. We just try to help out where we can, whether it's something small or a bit bigger. If you’re walking up Raj Mahal Road, you might see us out front. It’s a quiet operation, but we stay busy. We take pride in being a part of this community and doing what we can for our neighbors without any fuss or extra noise.
