We are based out in Kannegala, which is part of Gundlupete Taluk. It is a long way from the big city lights of Bangalore, and we prefer it that way. The air is different here and you can see the fields for miles. Our facility is a practical space where we handle the food products we deal with. It is mostly about logistics and making sure things are stored properly. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially after the rain, so getting the trucks in and out takes some patience. We don't have a fancy office with carpets. Our office is just a desk in the corner of the warehouse where we keep the ledgers and the phone. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We know each other's families and what's happening in the local area. It is a lot of hard work, lifting bags and checking the quality of what comes in from the farms. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the food is handled right and sent where it needs to go. The sun gets quite hot in Chamrajanagar, so we usually start very early in the morning to get the heavy lifting done before noon. It is a quiet, honest kind of life out here in the country. We just keep our heads down and work.
