This is the spot for General Motors (Pvt). Ltd. Talegaon Plant. Pune (Maharastra) but we are actually based over at 26, Prasad, Yogesh Society in Shastri Nagar. It’s a quiet residential area in Chalisgaon, back in the Jalgaon district. It’s a bit of a trek from the main plant in Pune, but this is where we handle things. The society is nice and calm. We get the mail here. Most of the neighbors know us by now. It’s not a big factory floor or a loud workshop. Just a regular building where we sit and go through papers. Sometimes the street gets crowded when people park their bikes poorly. We have a small desk and some old chairs. It gets very hot in Jalgaon during the summer months, so we keep the fans going all day long. We start early to beat the heat. There is a tea stall down the road that makes good ginger tea. We go there around eleven. Working here is different than being on the assembly line. It’s slower. We talk about the weather or what’s happening in the district. It’s a practical setup for us. We don’t have any big signs out front. Just the address. If you’re looking for the Talegaon folks, we manage the side of things from this little corner in Chalisgaon. It works for what we need to do. We usually head home once the sun starts to dip a little. It's just a simple job in a quiet part of town.
