Das Electronic

Das Electronic is situated in Gora Chaktala, which is out in the Nadia district. It is a quiet place, far away from the rush of the big cities, and we like it that way. We have been in this same spot for as long as I can remember. The shop is full of old televisions, radios, and all kinds of gadgets that people bring in from the surrounding villages. It often smells like hot solder and old dust because there is always something being repaired on the workbench. We do not have a fancy storefront with bright lights. Most of the time, the front door is just left open to let in a bit of a breeze, even though it brings in some dust too. There are piles of spare parts in the corners that might look like junk to some, but we know exactly what is in there. People in Nadia know they can come to us when their electronics stop working. We do not use computers for our bookkeeping, just a thick paper register where we write everything down by hand. It is a bit slow, but it never crashes. My son helps out sometimes, and we have one other fellow who has been with us for years. We do not promise that everything can be fixed, but we always give it a fair try. The summers here are very hot, so we move a bit slower then, but the work still gets done. We are just local people doing a job we know well.
