Sidel India Pvt Ltd is out in the Chakan Industrial Area, specifically at Plot No.B-19 in Mahulange Village. If you know the Taluka Khed area in Dist-Pune, you know it is a long drive from the main city. The road is often filled with heavy containers and trucks, so the commute can be quite a struggle every morning. Our facility is quite large because we handle some big machinery here. It is an industrial zone, so the air is a bit dry and there is always some construction or expansion happening nearby. The weather out here can get really dusty when the wind picks up, which happens a lot. We spend our days on the shop floor or in the technical rooms. It is a lot of technical work, looking at parts and ensuring the assembly is moving along like it should. We have a lot of people from the local villages working with us, so there is a mix of languages heard during the breaks. The canteen is where most of us catch up over tea. It is not exactly a quiet place because there is always some machine testing going on or a forklift moving pallets around. It is a real working plant, not a showroom. We deal with a lot of pressure to meet schedules, but that is common in Chakan. We just focus on the machines and making sure the orders are ready to go out.
